Project Brief
Richmond already had the address—1 Railway Place, steps from the CBD, one of Melbourne’s most established inner suburbs. What the site needed was a brand identity sharp enough to carry a genuinely extraordinary product story into market. Green Edge wasn’t just another apartment development—it was the highest energy-rated multi-residential mixed-use building Melbourne had seen, achieving a 4-Star Green Star Design Rating and a 9-Star average energy efficiency rating across all 42 apartments. We decoded the project’s defining tension—rigorous sustainability delivered without the worthy aesthetic that typically comes with it—and built a brand identity and full marketing suite around it. The result: a market position that made Green Edge‘s environmental credentials a desirable lifestyle statement, not a compromise. Sustainability as sophistication. The building went on to win the Sustainable Building Awards 2017—Multiple Dwelling category.
